Welcome at the DBRT Zug

Welcome to the Dutch Business Round Table (DBRT) in Zug. We understand ourselves as a networking club for professionals in Zug and Central Switzerland who feel related to the Netherlands. Meetings are regularly held every other month on the first Wednesday of the month at lunch time. Apart from speeches by guest speakers that might be held in German or English the meeting language is Dutch. By organizing guest speakers or special events around such lunch meetings we strive to provide an attractive platform that allows both the free interaction between our members and an interesting common ground to start from.

In addition to the business lunches, special evening events are sometimes being organized around current events in business, politics or culture. One goal of the DBRT among others is to build a bridge between the Dutch and the Swiss culture and business societies. Furthermore, the Dutch Embassy uses the DBRT chapters to channel its information to the Dutch community in Switzerland. Finally, we also service the Dutch business community in Switzerland by forwarding to our members CV's from Dutch professionals seeking employment in Switzerland or by publishing Dutch related job advertisements from employers in Switzerland.

The Zug chapter of the DBRT exists since April 2009 and is the first (and so far the only) DBRT chapter in Central Switzerland. We have meanwhile grown to a group of 170 members. At our lunches there are usually 15–25 attending members – a colorful mixed group of professionals from those who live and work in Switzerland since many years to those who have just arrived as expats a few weeks ago.

Whatever your link to the Netherlands is – you are most welcome to join our club and mingle with the Dutch business community in Zug and Central Switzerland. Just give us a call or send your details by e-mail so we can put you on the e-mail distribution list. And hopefully we'll see each other at one of the next DBRT lunches!

Tot ziens and "Keep in Touch with the Dutch"!
